Introducing linen in dairy cows feed.

Studies directed by the INRA have shown that feeding cows with vegetal materials that are naturally rich in Omega3 (grass, lucern, linen seeds...) leads to a decrease in methane emissions (a green house gas that has a massive impact on climate change). With that traditional way of feeding the herd, cows produce less methane (about 15% decrease) and give priority to a high high quality milk and meat production for human consumption.

Linen, lucern, field beans... are also very intersresting crops to improve biodiversity. Thanks to those crops, pesticides, fertilizers and other chemicals are prevented from entering our food chains.

Linen for instance is good for soil structure, and very positive in crop rotation . Growing linen can break short rotations that would otherwise persistances to treatments.
